In 1937, Sheena was the first female superhero to have publications, and she independently fought against various villains. At that time, more female characters were supporting roles in humour or love cartoons, almost all of them with big curls, and engaged in typical occupations of women, such as nurses and typists. The comic women of this era formed "lady art" and preferred to portray fashionable and attractive women. These images reflect the cognition and preference of women in American society at that time. Even if the body's beauty is to be displayed, the premise will always be to please men's sexual desires.

Being a superhero hasn't helped women's status in comics or society.

Until 1940, the appearance of "Wonder Woman" was a turning point in that era. Her creator consciously created a feminist symbol to support gender equality. He combined the power of superman with the advantages of women to create a character that is not only powerful but also contains the power of love. Wonder Woman becomes the most popular superhero and an iconic exemplar of female equality and empowerment due to her brave and independent female brilliance.

Although women have made unremitting efforts for self-liberation and equality, traditional mainstream thinking is still deeply ingrained. The leaders of the feminist movement realized that they needed a more substantial propaganda carrier. Therefore, Gloria Steinem chose Wonder Woman as the cover of the inaugural issue in "Ms." magazine. She wants to convey that women can have tremendous power as long as the world no longer restricts them with unnecessary restrictions.

Two dimensions-reality

Fans' love for Wonder Woman is derived from the character's charm and attraction by that bright blaze. "Can I become Wonder Woman too?" "Are women the same as men?" They saw the possibility of Wonder Woman in reality. Fans are connected, their goals are the same, and they hope that people will be awakened by Wonder Woman to the idea that women also have rights. She builds a bridge connecting comics to reality, making seemingly impossible things come true. Empowering women has always been a core feature of Wonder Woman. Her beliefs affect reality. No matter what era she is in, she will bring strength and hope in different forms.

She encourages women to stand up for themselves, learn to fight, and be strong so they don't have to be scared or depend on men.

William Moulton Marston

Back to the present, Wonder Woman fans connect with like-minded people and use their experience in fan clubs to help deal with real-life events. When confronted with sexual assault, we will no longer remain mute out of fear; instead, we will defend ourselves. "What will Wonder Woman do?" We exchanged and shared experiences in the discussion forum and learned the spirit of Wonder Woman. I'll never be powerless on a bus again when a man tries to grope me, waiting on people to rescue me since fandom members provide me with the strength I need.

In the end, I realized that only I could save myself.
